More Learning Activities

(Supplement to Learning About Oceans, Unit 8)

The lessons in this year's Learning About Oceans package are supplemented by the following activities:

Climate Change Challenge, in which students role-play the impacts of climate change on a northern ecosystem.

CO2 Calculator an interactive questionnaire that enables students to assess their personal contributions to climate change.

Animal Trackers, which employs space technology to monitor migratory species and gather data about their habitats and the climatic impacts they face.

Natural Inquirer, a researching, interviewing, and reporting activity that examines species affected by climate change.

Climate Watch, a national survey of biological indicators of climate change that enables students to gather data on local plants and animals.
