What's in This Module?
This online education unit constitutes a long-term lesson
plan designed to inform youth from coast to coast about
their vital link with the sea and the need to conserve ocean
health for the good of all life forms, including human beings.
-
It is brimming with resources for ocean
awareness activities and aquatic habitat projects that
promote learning through constructive action.
-
It complements this year's Oceans
Day poster, which further explore the theme "Oceans
. . . Closer Than You Think."
It motivates students to think globally by pursuing
conservation objectives through national and international
partnerships between schools.
-
It encourages groups to develop and carry
out a "Blueprint for Ocean Action" and apply
for financial assistance from the Blue
School fund.
-
It is closely linked with other WILD Education
programs, including Habitat 2000, Fish Ways, and Project
WILD.
