General Information
- Environment Canada’s Freshwater Website is a collection of information about all aspects of water and aquatic wildlife and ecosystems. Check it out at www.ec.gc.ca/water.
- RésEau – Building Canadian Water Connections is a Government of Canada demonstration initiative that provides access to a broad range of online water data and information. Visit www.environmentandresources.gc.ca/reseau.
- Look up Hinterland Who’s Who fact sheets on aquatic wildlife species, lesson plans and other wildlife information at www.hww.ca.
- Canada’s Aquatic Environments, produced by the CyberNatural Software Group, features information about aquatic plants, animals, habitats and human interactions at www.aquatic.uoguelph.ca.
- The Environmental Protection Agency in the United States hosts online training modules about watersheds entitled Watershed Academy Web. See www.epa.gov/watertrain.

- Natural Resources Canada’s The Atlas of Canada website is an online collection of maps and related information, including teaching materials. See atlas.gc.ca. Use search word drainage basins to find a full-colour, interactive map of watersheds.
